Best Automatic Vacuum and Mop Combos
The Narwal Freo X Ultra is one of the best robot vacuums and mops I've ever tested. Its base station comes with an enormous water tank as well as a dust bin, and its dual rubber brush is less likely to tangle hair than single bristles.
Its mopping efficiency is exceptional and its AI mapping excels at eliminating obstacles. It can also pause the cleaning process and then resume from where it began.
1. Roomba Combo j9+
The Roomba Combo J9+ is a robot mop that doubles as a vacuum cleaner that is among the most advanced on the market. It features a sleek, self emptying Clean Base that can store up to two mopping cycles. It's designed to look just like a small desk. It is the only robot we tested with an onboard reservoir that automatically washes and replenishes the cleaning pads after every mopping or vacuum cycle.
The mopping arm is positioned on top of the unit. It lowers when it senses hard surfaces, and then starts to scrub. It moves slowly over surfaces to avoid accidentally spreading wet or muddy spills on carpeted areas. It does a great job in staying out of the path of furniture, cords, and other obstacles.
It's more intelligent than other robot vacs, too, thanks to the iRobot Home app, which lets you customize your cleaner's settings and prioritize rooms based on dirtiness, set schedules and cleaning times and much more. The app comes with detailed maps of your house, seasonal suggestions, customized cleaning routines, as well as a variety of smart home integrations that are easy to use.
The iRobot robot vac/mop utilizes the Imprint Smart Mapping Technology to identify objects like tables, sofas and counters. And it can be controlled by Alexa, Google Assistant, or Siri to ensure that your home is clean and tidy.
The Roomba J9+ unlike other vacuums and mopping robotics, creates an outline of your home 7x faster than the previous models. It also labels each area by floor type, so that it will always be aware of the area you want to mop or vacuum. It also has an iRobot Turbo Mode which boosts suction for difficult spots. With iRobot's Dirt Detective, it can analyze your cleaning habits to adjust the cleaning priorities and settings for the most filthy areas of your home.
2. Yeedi M12 Pro+
The Yeedi M12 Pro+, with its user-friendly application and premium features is a powerful rival in the world of automated mop and vacuum robots. Its strong suction and ingenuous mopping technology make it an ideal cleaning partner for smart homes. Download and open the Yeedi App and follow the steps on screen to connect your M12 to your Wi-Fi network. After connecting, you'll be asked to give your robot an individual name. It's important to note that the M12 can only be used on 2.4 GHz networks only.
The M12 offers a variety of cleaning modes, including vacuuming and mopping. Its intelligent design lets the M12 map a space in just six minutes and adjusts its cleaning path in accordance with the map. Its advanced mopping functionality includes two spinning pads, with electronically controlled water as well as a "True Edge Adaptive Edge Mopping System" which helps ensure thorough cleaning of all floor edges.
In terms of navigation, the M12 makes use of LiDAR and IR to avoid obstacles. The sensors are capable of finding larger objects, like HVAC vents and furniture. They can struggle to detect smaller objects such as cables or small rags. This may cause the robots to miss areas.
The M12 can also detect and navigate stairs thanks to its built-in inclinometer. It also returns automatically to its OMNI Station to wash and dry mop brushes and to refill its water tank. If its batteries are low the OMNI station will even automatically empty the trash bin and clean itself.
3. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra robot cleaner is at the forefront of robotic cleaning. It packs a wealth of features in a tiny package. It comes with a large mopping capacity as well as cameras to assist in avoiding obstacles. It's a fantastic vacuum and mop, completing our 1,500 square foot test area in a mere 101 minutes before running out of battery and returning to its dock. Its mop cleans itself between use, which lowers maintenance costs and helps keep its pads clean. In addition it has a dock sensor that detects when the mop pad is dirty and prompts a wash cycle to keep it clean.
Like its predecessors and its predecessors, the S8 MaxV Ultra features an intelligent system that can detect objects of the home, such as shoes and pet waste using a camera + LIDAR combination. It was a great performer in our evaluation of obstacle avoidance, with only one hiccup during my tests (it was stuck while unwinding a ball of wool that was caught in its brush arm).
The S8 MaxV Ultra boasts a new 10,000pa worth of suction power, more than double its predecessor. This makes it a great choice for homes with lots of carpet and a mix of flooring types. The vacuum can also be set to automatically increase suction when it's moving over dirt or crumbs.
Similar to previous models, several docking stations can be set up to make it easier to clean and mop process. The docking station is connected to the home plumbing system, and it will drain and replenish the water tank after you're done.

This helps the X40 Ultra receive one of the highest scores in our assessments of obstacles to avoid.
5. Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is an amazingly powerful vacuum and mop combination that was designed to be user-friendly. Its gunmetal-colored base station self-emptying and refills its own tank with clean water, automatically emptying the dust bin into a smaller one and cleans and dries its own mop pad in between cleaning sessions. It comes with advanced features that allow it to switch between carpets and hard surfaces, remove pet hair from carpets and clean high-level thresholds in rooms.
The S1 Pro's navigation and maps are excellent, with the dToF LiDAR system in the internal unit that allows it to keep an unobtrusive appearance while providing top-quality objects avoidance. It can be driven close to walls without crashing, and avoiding steps, and it also raises its mop automatically when it drives over rugs and short-pile carpets. It had a difficult time when it came across longer-pile carpets, and there were a few large, thick messes with dried-on debris.
Like all robots like it, the S1 Pro comes ready to roll out of the box, and requires only a quick initial mapping run to learn its way around your home. Once that's done the map is displayed in the app and rooms can be added or merged depending on the need. You can also set virtual boundaries and no-go or no-mop zones if there's something you don't want the robot to be able to touch.
The S1 Pro is a great choice for homes with both types of flooring, because it can mop and vacuum. However, its reliance on a Eufy-branded cleaning system (which is included in the box) makes it less flexible than other robots that let you create your own solutions. Its ability to mop and vacuum makes it an excellent choice for homes that have floors of both types. However, its reliance on Eufy cleaning solutions (which are included in the box) could make it less adaptable than other robots that permit you to include your own cleaning solutions.
